Noorani Qaida Lesson 3 - Three Symbols You may learn in the Muqatta’at letters

Noorani Qaida page 6, consisting of Haroof Muqatta’at, these are disconnected letters. For example  الـم (Alif, Lam, Meem)  كهيعص  (Kaf, Ha, Ya, Ain, Sad)   طسم  (Ta, Seen, Meem) .The important symbols that are introduced in this lesson are saddah, standing fatah, and maddah. The muqatta’at letters are usually seen at the start of Quranic surahs. Moreover, the meaning of these letters is known by Allah Almighty. The first symbol is saddah, the function of saddah is that it is pronounced two times, the second is standing fatah which prolongs for three seconds, and the last one is maddah which prolongs for six seconds. They read separately. For example, in this word, the first alif is pronounced and then the next letter. You need to remember the duration of maddah and standing Fatah.
